The Definitive Ranking Of "Avatar: The Last Airbender" Episodes

Because Avatar: the Last Airbender is awesome like that. Need I say more?

Book 1, Chapter 11: "The Great Divide"

Book 1, Chapter 11: "The Great Divide"

This is possibly the worst filler episode of the entire series. Most fans skip over it. Even the Ember Island Players felt like it wasn't worth including in their play about the Avatar. That said, it says a lot about the quality of Avatar's filler episodes if this one is the worst — meaning even "The Great Divide" isn't terrible.

Book 1, Chapter 14: "The Fortuneteller"

Book 1, Chapter 14: "The Fortuneteller"

Another filler episode, this one is mostly about Katara's obsession with having her fortune told, Aang's attempts to get Katara to notice him, and Sokka's attempts to convince the villagers that science is better than fortune-telling. It's kind of annoying, but still kind of fun.

Book 3, Chapter 17: "The Ember Island Players"

Book 3, Chapter 17: "The Ember Island Players"

A weird episode where Team Avatar goes to see a play about themselves. That said, it's a very clever version of a recap episode. Fun to watch, but not significant to the plot.

Book 2, Chapter 5: "Avatar Day"

Book 2, Chapter 5: "Avatar Day"

Another weird episode, this time where Aang is accused of a crime he committed in a past life, and it's up to Sokka and Katara to clear his name. The only redeeming part of this episode is that the village leader is voiced by James Hong. Not to mention Kyoshi is pretty awesome.
