You probably remember this little boy from E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial.

At the time, Henry Thomas was just 11 years old, yet fully capable of controlling and expressing his emotions in a scene, despite this only being his second film. (Below is a clip from the movie if you need a reminder.)

What's even MORE impressive though, is his audition for the role, which was released as part of the film's 30th anniversary in 2012.

With just a few backstory details, Thomas was able to bring out a powerful performance, which "made everyone cry," including Spielberg, as Thomas confessed during an interview with Esquire.
