Purple Aki was said to carve his initials into naughty kids' skin and then play noughts and crosses in them with a blade. The threat of Purple Aki paying you a visit was enough to make anyone behave.
"If you squeeze that spot, it'll never get better."
Ok, so some kids were left with pock marks, but you never saw anyone who had a spot that stayed there forever.
